How is Temple Shalom of Woodbury Unique?

Temple Shalom is a warm inviting congregation with a Father and Son Rabbi/Cantor team.  The services are uplifting and the families are welcoming!  Temple Shalom designed to be innovative to encourage many who are not affiliated with a synagogue due to exorbitant dues, building funds and other fees to become part of a unique congregation with modest dues and more of a "pay as you go" format.   Rather than paying $2,500.00 per family for just dues plus a building fund ( where all the services you don't need are included), initial family dues for Temple Shalom start at $360.00.  Each person or family pays for the services they need and pays a modest fee for High Holiday Tickets.  If you need a Baby-Naming, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Wedding, Unveiling or Funeral, we will be happy to provide the service for you for a reasonable fee.

Temple Shalom's Services will be Reform but traditional in nature. Those who love tradition in prayer combined with English and explanation of prayers and rituals will find Temple Shalom a very comfortable environment.

Temple Shalom is available for B'nai Mitzvah (including providing of tutoring and preparation) together with providing life cycle events such as Baby-Namings, Funerals, Unveilings, Weddings as well as holding services to meet your spiritual needs.

We invite you to visit our office or attend our services and hope you joining our new congregation.  If you have any questions or desire any additional information, please feel free to email me at Rabbi@TempleShalomny.org or call at 516-364-4900.

Shalom,

Rabbi Alan Stein
